'Spaz' the Cat by randomirrelevant 'Spaz' the Cat by randomirrelevant
I made this wire cat as a graduation gift for a friend. It is sculpted from various gauges of galvanized steel and (recycled!) copper wire 12g - 24g. I used pennies for the eyes. The wire weaving was inspired by a "How to Make a Dreamcatcher" kit I read as a child, oddly enough.

I can't imagine the amount of time and sore fingers that have gone into creating "Spaz" the Cat by ~randomirrelevant. I really like the spiral and uniform patterns that make up the limbs and shape of the cat. ( Featured by Thebuild )

He is just flat out cool. Beautiful work, not the easiest wire to work with. I know that particular wire form, the Dreamcatcher one. Its not easy, particularly not in a form like that. Great work.

I've worked with a similar material before in order to make a wire phonograph. Yours clearly had a much much better design than mine cause mine has collapsed since I made it 2 years ago. So I just wanted give mad kudos and say I totally feel your pain my fingers were like numb for a month after I made that darn thing.
